I enjoyed the game, as it was a good one, as Football games go. I like it when the games are close. Last seconds are great. I am also impressed with the coverage the game gets. The most moving for me was when the cameras were on the US Troops that were watching from where they were stationed. The applause from the stadium rose dramatically at those moments. I won’t get political here, but it is important that we all stand up together for “Freedom”.

The Super Bowl victory parade will step off at Battery Place and Washington Street at 11 a.m., heading northbound up the stretch of Broadway known as the Canyon of Heroes, to Worth Street, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced. The parade will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, where the mayor will present the Giants with keys to the city.

I’m not certain what Chrysler and Honda are going to do to celebrate their victories, but it seems that they both took the trophies for advertising.

While this commercial is a subtle ad for the CR-V, the entertainment value is high. A Honda marketing rep states, “We cast Matthew Broderick as himself, skipping out on a day of acting work and living it up in his all-new CR-V. Relive movie history with Honda’s fresh twist and wonderful homage to this ’80s classic.”

Chrysler’s “It’s Halftime in America” arrived unannounced and unapologetic—a quietly potent and thought-provoking spot featuring the acting performance of the night, with its somber and reflective two minutes proving a perfect counterpoint to the circus of the halftime show.

Watch them both again and let us know what you think! They are both very different from each other, yet seem to be a bit above the others that aired.

The Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional American football in the United States, culminating a season that begins in the late summer of the previous calendar year. This game is held at a pre-selected site, usually a city that hosts an NFL team. The Super Bowl uses Roman numerals to identify each game, rather than the year in which it is held, with Super Bowl I being the 1966 seasonchampionship game. The upcoming game, Super Bowl XLVI, will be played on February 5, 2012, to determine the champion of the 2011 season between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots.

I give you this information, because I know that many of the viewers on our site are so excited about the auto industry, Hybrids, EVs, PHEVs etc that you have forgotten about Football, Basketball or any other sport. Right? I doubt that, but you may not have known, or forgot, that the first Superbowl was played in 1966 and won by the Green Bay Packers over the Kansas City Chiefs.

I threw a few of the commercials in here, so when they come on during the game, you can run out to the garage and see if you want to keep what you are driving or buy a new Tesla, Honda, Toyota, Jaguar or something else you have your eye on! Enjoy!
